Chef’s Dinner 2019
An auction item from Bourbon Fest & Auction 2019, Chef John Currence, Chef Vishwesh Bhatt, Chef Kelly Fields, and Chef Mike Solomonov joined forces to create an out of this world dinner at Farmstead. It was a night of great food but also education on Move On Up, Mississippi’s goals for 2020.
Pig Pickin’ Party 2019
Created for Bourbon Fest & Auction 2019 as an auction item, the Oxford community threw down with Pitmaster, Sam Jones, and musical talent, Joe Austin & The Tallahatchie, in November. It was a night full of bourbon, pork, and good company that we will never forget!
“Mexissippi”, as part of the second annual Light in April, featured a dozen of the top chefs from across the state who gather to celebrate the minority men and women of our kitchens without whom we could not operate. “These folks work tirelessly in our kitchens and dining rooms, rarely getting credit for the unbelievable work they do. They are the heartbeat of our industry,” said Currence. Each chef prepared a different tasting portion of a latin-inspired dish for the event.
