2020 Festival & Auction

Thank you so very much for your enthusiastic interest in and plans to attend our event, 2020 Oxford Bourbon Festival & Auction.  Though we have done our best to hold out hope that our event could continue, we are saddened to announce the cancellation of our event.  Please see the announcement below from our founder, John Currence.

“While we have held to hope until now that we might still move forward, the board and leadership of Move On Up, Mississippi have decided it is time to announce the cancellation of Bourbon Fest for 2020. We will return in the spring of 2021 with Bourbon Fest and are planning a December 2020 in-home dinner series, in the meantime.

We could not be more grateful for the continued support of the foundation during this difficult time. We are enormously proud of the fact that we are currently supplying weekly meal boxes to over 215 families in need in the surrounding community. And that number continues to grow. Our entire team is extraordinarily happy to be able to serve in this time of crisis and none of it would be possible without your help.”

We hope to see you in December for our in-home dinner series and in 2021 for, what will be, our long-awaited OBFA return.  If you should have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our team.

2019… Thank You

Thank you to everyone who made the 2019 Bourbon Festival and Auction a success! It was a weekend full of food, music, bourbon, dancing, and fundraising. With the help from our donors, sponsors and attendees, Move On Up was able to raise over $140,000! With this money, Move On Up will be able to continue our mission to fund educational youth initiatives focused on health, well being and physical activity.

Garden & Gun ran a slideshow recap of the event. Click here to see it.

A special thanks to our sponsors: Ben E Keith, Bulleit Bourbon, Cathead Distillery, Visit Oxford, Garden & Gun, First National Bank of Oxford, Red Truck Rural Bakery, and The Splinter Group. We can’t wait for next year!
